We now all look forward to 2011 Royal Ascot. The St James Palace Stakes Odds were confirmed with Canford Cliffs cruising up to take the finishing post in some style on Day 1, he came past stablemate Dick Turpin well and never looked back to justify the punters who made him the favourite. Hearts Of Fire ran a blinder to come in third at a great price but the real winner was Canford Cliffs who looks a real superstar in the making. Goldikova held off a late charge from Paco Boy in the Queen Anne Stakes to confirm the superstar filly has the best miler in the world, it was a thrilling race to start the Royal Meeting with the punters getting the week off to an excellent start.

The Royal Ascot Races are particularly famous for the attendance of the Royal family who make their entrance each afternoon in a Royal procession up the centre of the track, it is something that all look forward to in catching a glimpse of the Queen at Ascot.
